Challenge: A key player in the air filtration industry was
presented with a business opportunity, but did not have the space
to accommodate the inventory needed.
CLC Solution: We were able to provide
a pre-packaged kit that contained all required sheet metal parts for
each unit. As a result, our customer not only utilized "lean
manufacturing" principals but also increased their market share
by adding a new customer.
Challenge: A fast growing OEM needed consistent,
weekly production capacity on a moments notice.
CLC Solution: We implemented a program
called "Hero" time, in which our customers can actually reserve
capacity in advance - without purchase orders - to give them the best
service possible. Due to the success of this program, we set aside "Hero"
time each week in our production schedule and have helped dozens of
our valuable customers with it.
Challenge: The market leader in fire
protection equipment needed to increase efficiencies in order to defend
its position against a new entrant to the market.
CLC Solution: We offered a pre-painted
aluminum material in lieu of cold roll steel that needed to be powder
coated after fabrication. While the aluminum was more expensive than
the cold roll sheet the reduction in weight and the elimination of
the powder coat process made this material a more efficient choice
for our customer.
Challenge: A market leader in food processing
equipment moved to a Kanban system to reduce their inventory.
CLC Solution: We helped them to improve
their idea with a combination Kanban and stocking program designed
for long lead-time items that wouldn't work with the original system.
